A fascinating journey that starts with the studies of a young Elban to become a professional miner, passing through the experimental tunnel and on to the hard work in the underground Ginevro mine, the largest and most productive in Europe. 

The search for minerals will be the backdrop to this exciting adventure.

An unforgettable tour that will visit the two most important mining sites on the island, the Rio mine and the Calamita mine in Capoliveri. A unique journey, a fascinating story, full of anecdotes and history, fun and adventure, laughter and tales of a harsh reality.

We will start from Rio nell'Elba with a visit to the Archaeological Museum and its ancient artifacts, then continue, aboard our military vehicles, to discover the Rio mining complex, with its experimental tunnel, the scenic green lake, and the search for typical minerals such as Hematite and Pyrite. 

The second tour will start from the museum of La Vecchia Officina di Calamita, in Capoliveri, where period machinery, the infirmary, and the changing rooms will be waiting for you for an exciting visit. Afterwards, still aboard our military vehicles, we will set off to discover the famous underground Ginevro mine with its two visitable levels (to be chosen at the time of booking).
